What happened To PoetLorraine??

What Happened to PoetLorraine??

She vanished into the ozone of the web,

I went to post her a comment

and the site was closed,

I just wrote her three comments yesterday,

did I perhaps in some way offend her,

God, I hope not, she visted my work often

and shared such wonderful praise.

Is she O.K. health wise?

Did something or someone

 in her love life fail her?

Did her muse go A.W.O.L.

(absent without official leave) 

and so she simply closed

 her poetic door to us all?

We grow attached to

our circle of peers here

and occasionally one

just disappears off my list....

with no explanation.

Then with 135 followers

I can never remember who left,

but she was different

she stuck out like a

honey coated thumb

attracting all the wanna bees

who wanted to be

a part of her friendship.

But now the horizon is bare,

her friendship has sailed out of sight

on this hub of the world,

and I am left to ponder

her absense and mourn her loss.

I never go quietly

into that dark night,

I always post a fond farewell,

or a raving rant to explain my parting,

I wish she had done that as well

I have too many mysteries in my life

left unsolved, and now must add one more.

Perhaps she still reads,

perhaps she'll read this and e-mail me

at opeeongo@go.com

and bring me some modicum of comfort

by explaining the reason for her departure.

or maybe it's none of my business

but one must care in this world,

one must be less republican

towards those who have needs

this is no tea party

where Alice dissappeared

down a rabbit hole...

this is a fellow writer

who was edited without

notice from our lives,

whether by her own hand

or the hub staff or

an offending writer

she is gone...

literary suicide...

for this I am saddened,

and filled with wonder

at what drove her way.

in all you do and thanks

for what we shared with you

it will be remembered

regardless of yourreasons

 for wanting to be forgotten.
